Shell clothes & rainwear

Buying proper rain and shell clothing for your child is a very important purchase. Whether the weather forecast says sun, rain or snow, it is important that your child's wardrobe is prepared for lots of play and fun. We advocate the layer-on-layer method, so that the child can easily remove a layer when the sun peeks out on an otherwise cold and rainy day. With good clothes, your child can play - regardless of the weather - that is important to us.

Geggamoja's outerwear is durable, breathable and of high quality. With Geggamoja's lined rainwear, your child stays dry all day.

If you have any thoughts about any of the products, our customer service is happy to answer questions. Feel free to email us at kundtjanst@geggamojac.com, chatt or call us at +4687582882

Geggamojas shell and rain wear

Rain jacket and rain pants, also called galoon clothes, are good for persistent rain or if it's muddy outside as they are easy to wash off. They are available both as unlined and lined rain gear. The shell jacket doubles as a windbreaker and coveralls / shell pants keep the rain out in showers and light rain. Our range also includes boots and all-weather shoes.

In autumn we have lined rain jackets and rain trousers for children and in spring unlined rain clothes.

Geggamoja's outerwear and jackets are durable, breathable and of high quality. For the trousers, there are extra foot pads to buy so you can replace them if they get worn.

We help you to purchase the children's rainwear. Under each product you have a size guide to help you buy the right size of children's clothing. There you will also find material descriptions and properties for each product. Shopping for children's and baby clothes online should be simple, flexible and practical.

What is the difference between rainwear and shellwear?

Water repellent/tight clothing is measured in water column (VP) and its breathability (AF)

Water column

The water column is a measure of how high pressure a garment can withstand before it lets water through. You can think like this:

6000-10000 mm, Heavy rain for a short time, eg rain clothes.

11000-15000 mm, Heavy rain for a few hours or moderate rain for a whole day

16000-20000 mm, very heavy rain, wet snow.

20000 + , persistent rain under high pressure. Here are only garments that have a professional function to withstand heavy rain.

Breathability

Here we check how many grams of liquid a garment can release on one square meter during a 24-hour period.

The more waterproof a garment is, the worse its ability to breathe.

Our garments
Our rain clothes or rain racks have a water column of 8000 mm. Because it has taped seams, the breathability is worse than the shell garments. But they are easier to clean in case of mud.

The shell garments have a water column of 15000 mm and breathability of 5000 g. They work very well to use as layer upon layer as it has good ventilation and the child can be outside for several hours.

Unifit Winter Overall has a water column of 15,000 and breathability of 8,000 grams. It is fleece lined and keeps you warm in chilly climates.

Unitoddler's water column is 15000 mm and even there breathability of 8000 grams.
