Kashmini is based on the love of Kashmir and the love of the newborn little human.

In search of the best cashmere, we sat down and thought about what in a production process is the most important thing for us. It quickly became obvious. We want that we create to be sustainable with the very best quality, and for the goats we work with to feel good. That is why we are now so happy to work with a supplier who shares our values about the environment, sustainability and the best interests of the animals. Our cashmere is of the highest quality, and with the basic idea of creating durable and stylish products that never go out of date, our garments can be used for many generations.

A baby's skin is much more sensitive than an adult's and since the skin is the body's largest organ, it is very important to take care of it in the best possible way. One of the skin's all tasks is temperature regulation, but when the baby is small and new, it has difficulty maintaining a constant temperature, as the skin is so thin. This helps cashmere. It warms when it's cold and cools when it's hot - the absolute best feature of cashmere if you ask us. In addition, we can´t imagine anything softer and smoother against the skin than just cashmere.

Our Kashmir

It starts with our beloved friends, the Kashmir goats. The incredibly beautiful and soft animals live in Inner Mongolia where the absolute finest quality of cashmere is found. They live in an extremely cold climate with large temperature differences and this means that nature creates the unique cashmere wool. The wool is just too warm when it's cold and cool when it's hot, and that's exactly what we love about cashmere. That it is useful all year round!

The goats have an undercoat called down and when the cold months of winter are over, the goats begin to shed their winter wool. In connection with this, the goats are combed by hand and the downy undercoat is separated from the rest of the wool, the so-called cover hair.

The skin has many tasks, two of which are temperature control and sensory control. We want to work more closely with this. Babies' skin is often very sensitive to both temperatures and materials. That is why we want to bring out the best by extending these two properties that the skin has, through our products. Kashmir has the same function when it comes to temperature control, it cools when it is hot and warms when it is cold. In addition, it is a very soft and a completely natural material.
